![]() It only appear to be related to VMWare because vmware provides the virtualisation of that hardware, so moving from one version of vmware (fusion) to another version sometimes trigger a activation request from XP because XP thinks it's running on new hardware. Window XP activation is trigger when there is a "major" hardware change, this is defined by Microsoft, nothing to do with VMWARE. ![]() ![]() For them, I suggest returning Vmware for a refund IF they have bought it. You have asked the question in a much better way than some here.
